Your List Of People To Talk With Regarding Your Business Opportunity Has To Be Alive And Ever-Growing
Building and Creating your list is a vital part of building a successful business. When you started in a Network Marketing Business I am sure you upline sponsor told you to make a list of all the friends, family, and contacts you knew. They may have even given you a “cheat sheet” to help you add names to the list – like that of your dry cleaner, your pet’s vet, your hair stylist, gardener, pool man, etc. If you have been around long enough I am sure you have heard the expression – the money is in your list. Your list can be one of your most valuable assets if you do it right!
Rule #1. Write your list down! Your list cannot simply exist on your phone or in your head. You need to go through your contacts in your phone, your contacts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and all your social media sites. It needs to be on paper so you can check off those you speak with, those you have to follow-up with, those who said they would look at your opportunity and those who said no (but who may be a yes later on down the road).
Absolute Truth #1. For every 10 people you contact – 7 will not want to see your opportunity, 3 will say they do and 1-2 will actually show up. So if you want to launch your business successfully right from the start you need a strong list of at least 100 names and telephone numbers (we will talk about how to invite from your list in another post).
Rule #2. Your list has to grow! Eventually you will run through all the names and telephone numbers on your list. Then what?? So many at this point say they are NFL (have No Friends Left).
Absolute Truth #2. This is why you need to grow your list. You need to try to add at least 10 new names, numbers or emails to your list every week. People you come into contact with and with whom you have established some type of connection. People you meet at the bank, while standing at the checkout line at the grocery store. My personal favorite are those people I meet at a Chamber of Commerce meeting or other networking meeting.
Rule #3. Your list is not an asset if you never use it.
Absolute Truth #3. You need to call your list. A list sitting in a notebook or used as a coaster will not put eyes on your opportunity. So many company owners or non-profits I work with tell me they have large lists but don’t know what to do with them! Work with your up line or marketing consultant and let your list help you grow your business!
Did This Help You? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you commented below and shared on Facebook.
